This One Is Different

I don't think I can title this post with more accuracy. This job required some special attention and was painted with far from common colors. It was nice to have this as the first big job of 2024 to set the tone for the year. I was told that I should not post these photos anywhere, because the colors are so odd. However, I think it is a great showcase of what can be done. I do not judge. I repair and paint.

I forgot to take photos of this 2nd floor front room before we started, so I'm showing what I did to prep the room and the finished product. All of the white on the ceiling and walls is the plaster that I used to smooth out the previous poorly done work. They chose Hunt Club for the walls, Childlike for the trim and doors, and Rosebud for the floor. The floor looks whiter than it does in reality.

The middle room on the 2nd floor had completely different colors, but were on the same palate. We used Agate Green on the walls and Dancing Green on the trim.

The 2nd floor rear room was another transformation. They used 2 different yellows in the room, but they were too similar. You can't tell the difference in these photos, and it is very subtle in person. It was an unnecessary color change, but it was what they wanted. Unless you are looking for color consultation/advice, I leave the color selection up to the owner. I do not know what the colors look like until I open the can. The walls were Irresistible, the trim was Melón Meloso, and the built-in closet was Delicious Melon.

Finally, we repaired and painted the hallway. We added drywall where it was missing and installed some trim to close off a big gap between the ceiling and stair woodwork. We used Delicious Melon again above the chair rail and Raucous Orange below it. To top it off, they used Childlike again on the inside of the bathroom door.

We also painted 2 bathrooms, but I neglected to take photos of them. I'll leave those colors to your imagination. Somehow, all of their colors worked well together. I don't know how they went in this direction, I don't know how they found these colors, and I don't know how it all worked out. The most important thing is that the owners are incredibly happy. I'll do the same for you regardless of the colors you choose.
