Ben Moore color in Sherwin Williams products

I usually advise against choosing Benjamin Moore colors in Sherwin Williams products and vice versa. The colors rarely turn out correctly, because the base products are different. When I told this owner that my prices for Sherwin Williams paints are much cheaper than comparable Benjamin Moore products, he immediately wanted to use it. However, he did not want to start over with color selections. Therefore, he did the best thing that can be done while deciding colors. He bought samples to test the colors. After he slidified his colors, we went to work correcting some bad decisions from the previous owner of this condo in West Philadelphia.

The living room had some electrical work done, we had to patch some holes, and we took care of the neglected trim . Then we painted the ceiling with Sherwin Williams Promar Ceiling paint, the trim with a semi-gloss extra white, and the walls with Baby Fawn.

Some previous bad decisions here include a semi-gloss light blue on the ceiling. It showed absolutely every imperfection of this old plaster ceiling. So we put on that ultra flat ceiling paint here, as well. Then the walls got 2 coats of Philadelphia Cream. Not sure how this color represents Philadelphia, but Benjamin Moore's corporate office is in northern New Jersey near New York. Maybe this is the color of Philadelphia, Indiana.

There was a hallway from the dining room to the kitchen that had the same high sheen blue on the walls. Take a look at the door, as well! We painted this hall the same as the dining room, Baby Fawn.

You can see a small bedroom in this hallway. We changed it from the blue to Sherwin William's Silver Peony.

There were two other larger bedrooms in the rear of the condo. We painted them both with Sea Pearl.
