One of the things I will tell you when we meet is that I don't care about your colors. What you like is very subjective, and I don't want to insert my opinion to sway your preferences. Yes, I have painted almost every color in the book, and I know what I like. However, your taste is likely different than mine, so I let you do the choosing. I do care about everything else that goes into the application of your paint.
All of that being said, I actually care about the color. Some deep, rich, dark colors require a special primer, which will result in additional costs. When someone chooses to use Tricorn Black from Sherwin-Williams on their walls with white trim, I know that we are going to have a difficult time getting the lines straight. With some patience and a steady hand, we make it work, but it is definitely the one of the most difficult color combinations to paint.
We completed that scenario in the entry hall, half bathroom, and large stairwell of this 3 year old house just north of Spring Garden St. Take a look at the photos of the stairwell.
