I got a call from this homeowner who gave up. He tried to remove the paper off of the walls and ceiling from a very large room in his house, but found out that it was too difficult and took too much time. This is what is looked like when he stopped and before we started.
He was able to remove most of the wall paper, but could not finish the ceiling. There was also paper on the plaster crown molding.
So, he brought us in to finish the job. We removed the rest of the paper, sealed the glue with a nasty (but great) primer, skim coated the ceiling, caulked the molding, repaired the walls primed everything, and painted.
When we were finished, it looked like this.
They used Benjamin Moore paints: ultra-flat white ceiling paint, White Dove on the molding, Niveous on the main walls, and the bold Tarrytown Green as an accent color.
When the owner of the house came home, he wrote me an email that said, “A+ job. Really thrilled. Can’t believe that’s the same ceiling.
