This was, by far, the largest and most difficult renovation project my team has ever completed. We started it shortly after Thanksgiving 2015, and we worked into January. Then it took the homeowner until June to get the floors refinished, the windows replaced, and several other items necessary for us to complete the work.
Every room in the 4,000 sq. ft. house needed wallpaper removed, large amounts of plaster replaced, tubes of caulk, and countless sheets of sandpaper. We also installed new drywall to the ceilings in the 3rd floor. As we continued as discovered more about the house, the homeowner continued to add work. The house was built in the late 1800s, but the owners wanted a modern look. They used three different colors of white paint from Benjamin Moore. They chose Simply White for the ceiling, Decorator’s White in a matte finish for the walls, and Snowfall White in a pearl finish (less than semi-gloss) for the trim. Everything looks the same in the following “after” photos, because the subtle contrast does not show up. I assure you that it was stunning.
